Transkomunika Journal of Translation and Interlingual Communication (TJTIC)

Transkomunika Journal of Translation and Interlingual Communication (TJTIC) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that welcomes contributions in translation studies and intercultural communication. The journal publishes original research articles, comprehensive review articles, thought-provoking opinion articles, and other scholarly works that explore the intersections between language, culture, and communication in varied contexts.

Topics of interest include (but are not limited to):

  • Translation theory and practice

  • Interlingual and intralingual communication

  • Intercultural communication

  • Language, culture, and meaning

  • Cross-cultural pragmatics

  • Translational ethics

  • Audiovisual translation

  • Localization

  • Multilingualism in translation

  • Technology-assisted translation

  • Interpretation studies

  • Corpus-based translation studies

  • Translator training and pedagogy

  • Discourse analysis in translation and intercultural contexts

Publication Schedule

  • May issue 

  • November issue 

Submission Guidelines

  • Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere

  • Type the manuscript in .doc or .rtf

  • Use APA

  • Submissions are accepted in English and Indonesian (When you submit Indonesian article, the journal translators will translate it into English free of charge) 

  • All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process

How to Submit
Submit your manuscript via the journal’s online submission system (see the Submissions section on the website). Be sure to include a cover letter, abstract, keywords, and the manuscript formatted per the guidelines.

We invite you to contribute to the May or November issues. 

We look forward to receiving your submissions and contributing together to the scholarly discourse on translation and intercultural communication.
